About the Role

We are seeking a well-organised individual with a personable disposition to join our team as a Traffic Dispatcher. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of our waste management services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Call handling - liaising with customers and/or our internal call centres and Biffa drivers.
  • Daily debrief of Biffa drivers – assisting with confirmation of work plus dealing with any anomalies/issues.
  • Liaising with Biffa's customer service department and/or direct with customers to resolve issues – including any hazards identified by drivers.
  • Order processing and confirmation + running and clearing daily reports.
  • Administrative tasks and housekeeping.

Requirements

We require a strong knowledge of the local area, transport/waste industry experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively. You will also need to be computer literate and comfortable using business software and Microsoft Office Suite.
