Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an international Defence and Weapons Systems Company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Mechanical Engineers, overseeing engineering resource and tasks, and providing engineering support throughout the installation and commissioning of a new manufacturing facility in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign packages of work to individuals and support their development through objectives setting and Personal Development Reviews.
  • Oversee and approve the generation of design and/or manufacturing drawings and provide and/or approve calculations and analysis as required to justify a proposed course of action.
  • Plan and manage assigned budgets and control ongoing engineering processes and activities to ensure delivery to agreed business needs.
  • Participate fully in cross-functional projects/investigations ensuring requirements are delivered to plan.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or experience within engineering.
  • Experience in engineering mentoring, leadership and management.
  • Experience within and leading design reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
