WGM Engineering Ltd: Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Projects Division on a permanent basis, covering various sites throughout the Central Belt of Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mechanical maintenance, refurbishment, and new installation works, including testing and pre-commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, and install mechanical equipment for various private client sectors and Scottish Water sites.
  • Assist in working with civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation technicians, commissioning engineers, and site client operations staff.
  • Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find, rectifying problems on a variety of mechanical equipment.
  • Actively participate in Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and all related Health and Safety issues.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years previous mechanical engineering experience, ideally working within the wastewater sector.
  • Preferably a recognized apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering plus satisfactory completion of a relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • A full UK Driving license is essential for the role.
