The Role
We are seeking a fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant to lead audits from planning to completion, playing a key role in our audit and assurance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed audit plans, collaborating with senior team members.
- Conduct audits in accordance with our firm's procedures, with assistance from junior staff members.
- Monitor job progress, ensure budgets are met, and address problems to complete audits within budget and timeframe.
- Supervise and review the work of junior staff, completing any necessary sections.
- Sign off audit sections, address problems or queries, and complete the file for review by senior team members.
- Prepare accounts for larger cases in accordance with our firm's procedures and within budget.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA fully qualified with practice experience.
- Proven experience leading onsite audits from planning to completion.
- Excellent accounts preparation and audit completion skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ideally CaseWare.
- Success in mentoring junior staff.
- Strong technical knowledge, especially FRS 102.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Client-focused and commercially aware.
- Team player with problem-solving abilities.
