About the Role

The Business Manager for FlexGrid HV is an internal consultancy role that supports both the Venture leadership and the delivery organization. This role is crucial for strategic planning, project management, and operational efficiency, ensuring FlexGrid HV's initiatives are aligned with the company's vision and market demands. You will support our specialized global venture focused on HVDC and FACTS. As the Business Manager, you will strategically guide FlexGrid-HV to establish DNV as a dominant force in HVDC and FACTS markets. You will help in defining the strategic vision and drive business growth. You will report to the Head of Venture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shape the future trajectory of FlexGrid-HV, significantly contributing to DNV's broader goals of leading the energy industry towards a sustainable and decarbonized future.
  • Drive business growth, leveraging innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Support senior management and executives in strategic planning, project management, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve market leadership in HVDC and FACTS markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar consultancy or project management role, with a strong understanding of the energy sector, particularly in high voltage power systems.
  • Leadership and project management skills, with a high level of initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic business environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Financial acumen and organizational skills, with a clear understanding of financial data and metrics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in the energy industry and a history of supporting senior management and executives.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to meet business demands.
