Maintenance Technician

About the Role
CareTech Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team. As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the domestic repairs and maintenance upkeep of our premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the premises are safe, clean, and in good repair.
- Participate in regular audits of quality systems and undertake regular inspections to address works from contractors that fall below standard.
- Ensure compliance with all current and prevailing national regulations and inspection standards relevant to core functions.
- Liaise closely with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects and seek assistance with technical matters.
- Identify projects to improve the image, functionality, and operational efficiency of the facility.
Requirements
- Building and maintenance knowledge.
- Experience with compliance and record keeping.
- A trade background is preferred but not essential.
