About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd in Wandsworth.

The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a school or educational setting, with a strong understanding of SEN and SEMH needs.

This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary range of £425 - £480 per week and the chance to work with a supportive team.

Salary: £425 - £480 per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges
  • Implement strategies for de-escalation and positive behavioural support
  • Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of educational materials
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Certification in de-escalation techniques is essential
  • Training in Positive Behavioural Support is required

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths are a minimum requirement
  • Additional qualifications in Education or Special Education are desirable

Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a school or educational setting is necessary
  • Experience supporting students with SEN and SEMH is essential

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Work in a secondary school setting in Wandsworth
