Job Description:

A leading manufacturer within the timber frame market is currently recruiting for a Contracts Supervisor to oversee timber frame installations across their South East region.

About the Role:
  • We are seeking an experienced carpenter with a good working knowledge of timber frame installation to join our team as a Contracts Supervisor.
  • As a Contracts Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing operatives and sub-contractors on site, attending site meetings, and ensuring progress and variations are recorded and circulated to relevant parties.
  • You will also be required to induct operatives on sites, ensure all documents and requirements are in place, and provide clear direction to sub-contractors while monitoring their quality.
  • The successful candidate can expect to work across numerous live projects at any one time, managing multiple sites and ensuring that work is delivered to agreed HSE standards.
About You:
  • To be successful in this role, you must hold a valid CSCS card and have extensive timber frame erection experience.
  • An appointed person ticket would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • You should have excellent communication skills, ability to manage and motivate operatives in a site environment, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will also need to be able to read working drawings and write clear and concise reports identifying requirements for labour, deliveries, and plant, and any variance in the programme.
The Package:

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus a company vehicle, pension scheme, and flexible benefits package. There is also potential for progression up to contracts manager and beyond.
