We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Commercial and Project Management Team based in Stoke. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial and management of projects across various sectors, including mineral exploration, rail, wind/solar, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project programmes and disseminate information to the Project Manager;
  • Deal with day-to-day queries from the site team and ensure they adhere to the scope and specifications of the project;
  • Report to the Project Manager and Technical Director on progress against programme and budget;
  • Undertake the efficient and effective management and issuing of accurate, timely, and compliant notices and correspondence;
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and opportunities to the Contract Leader at pricing stage;
  • Prepare and agree applications for payment or the assessment and preparation of payment certificates;
  • Maintain registers of variations, delay, extension times, and claims;
  • Assist in change management and cost control;
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for work completed;
  • Assist in the production of monthly cost reports, forecasts, and Contract Leader Reports;
  • Ensure all health, safety, and environmental risk situations are brought to the attention of the Contract Leader/Project Manager.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a project management role within the development sector and relevant degree;
  • A driving license and own vehicle;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Demonstrable experience of understanding and/or administering common forms of construction contract conditions, particularly NEC;
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety considerations and legislation;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Projects;
  • Commercially aware;
  • Working towards a relevant qualification such as APM, CEng, NECReg, or other relevant qualifications.
