About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coder to join our team in Cheadle, Manchester. As a Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical data to ensure high-quality clinical information. You will work closely with our coding team to ensure timely and accurate coding, and contribute to the provision of a high-quality clinical coding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical data using ICD10 and OPCS4 classifications
- Work closely with the coding team to ensure timely and accurate coding
- Contribute to the provision of a high-quality clinical coding service
- Support the development and implementation of coding standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of coding services
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years clinical coding experience at NHS Foundation level
- Full understanding of ICD10, OPCS and the impact of HRGs
- Detailed knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy and coding procedures
- NCCQ required but not a necessity if at least 3 years experience coding a range of specialities in the NHS
