About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Manager to join our team at Fawkes & Reece South, working on a 68m industrial project near Tonbridge. As a key member of our Design team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of project outcomes on programme, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Design team in the design and delivery of the project, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Develop and implement design strategies to meet project objectives, working closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of Design Managers and Coordinators, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate design risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Design Management role with a Main Contractor, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Detail knowledge of all aspects of structural design, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
