Geography Educator

About the Role:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher to join a welcoming school in Rotherham. As a Geography Teacher, you will play a crucial role in helping students understand the complexities of the world, from physical landscapes to human societies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support students' learning and development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure each student is achieving their potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage and inspire students, making learning enjoyable and effective.
- Keep detailed records of student progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents and relevant parties.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Prior experience in teaching geography or a related subject is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships within the school community.
- Deep commitment to helping students succeed, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Relevant qualifications or training in geography education (desirable but not essential).
