This will involve working in partnership with colleagues to develop and manage thematic activities and resources, as well as managing and coordinating open learning activities to achieve their maximum potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage thematic activities and resources in partnership with colleagues
  • Manage and coordinate open learning activities to achieve their maximum potential
  • Ensure sound customer care practices are implemented, especially in relation to responsive and efficient public services
  • Travel throughout North Lanarkshire as required

Requirements:

  • SVQ level 4 (HND, general degree or equivalent) and SQA Assessor and Verifier Units D32/33/34 or A1 and V1 or L9 & D 9 and L11 & D11
  • Experience in dealing with the public on a one-to-one basis and in groups in a training environment
  • Ability to assist and deal with a wide range of ICT packages and platforms, including social media
  • Good interpersonal skills and a high level of self-motivation and commitment to delivering a quality customer-focused service
  • Staff supervisory experience, general library experience, and the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
