Job Overview
This is a specialist role within the Rheumatology department at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where you will work closely with the Principal Pharmacist to develop and deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services.
The successful candidate will lead pharmacist-led clinics, manage clinical pharmacy services, and participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds to deliver patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a specialist role model and expert in medical management within Rheumatology
- Leading and managing clinical pharmacy services in Rheumatology
- Participating in outpatient clinics to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused pharmaceutical care
- Providing patient and carer education
- Promoting safe drug use within the Rheumatology specialty
- Developing, implementing, and auditing local guidelines
- Regular financial reporting, drug usage, and expenditure forecasting, and drug budget management
- Participating in practice and clinical research and audit
- Participating in line management
