We supply all the UK's food retailers with a wide range of products, from sandwiches and soups to cooking sauces and ready meals.

Our direct-to-store distribution network enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of safe food that meets customer specifications and legal requirements by ensuring the effective operations of agreed procedures through regular auditing.
  • Sample, test, audit, and monitor to verify that all processes, procedures, and products are being manufactured in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, ensuring it is accurate and ready for internal and external audits, and highlighting when non-conformance requires corrective action.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the team and other relevant functions, ensuring they are fully aware of quality assurance results.
  • Collect relevant samples (products, swabs, water samples, etc.) with adherence to procedures and protocols to ensure quality, safety, and legality of products sampled.
  • Provide technical support and advice to operational staff and other teams to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards, seeking guidance and advice from QA Area Leaders/Technical Manager where necessary.
  • Ensure a safe working environment exists for all employees and that the department meets the standards set out in the safety, health, and environment policy.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days: (7am - 7pm) & Nights: (7pm - 7am) rotating

Requirements
  • Confident to challenge non-compliant practices or behaviors in a busy factory environment.
  • Food hygiene - Level 2.
  • Health and Safety - Level 2.
  • Ideally HACCP Level 2 trained.
  • Allergen Awareness Training.
  • Previous auditing experience.
  • Microbiological awareness - understanding of basics of food safety.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
