We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer Training professional to join our team at Austin Banks. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting major repairs on hire fleet generators and ancillaries, performing planned service and maintenance work, diagnosing faults, and rectifying issues.

About the Role

\

You will work closely with our Service Department to ensure that our generator hire fleet and customers' equipment are maintained to the highest standards. This will involve conducting routine maintenance checks, identifying potential problems, and implementing solutions to prevent downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • \
  • Conduct major repairs on hire fleet generators and ancillaries.\
  • Perform planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet generators and customers' equipment.\
  • Diagnose faults and rectify issues with hire fleet generators and customers' equipment, including major engine and component strip down and rebuild.\
  • Strip diesel engines and identify major faults on the fleet.\
  • Maintain tidy work areas through general housekeeping.\
  • Ensure cleanliness and serviceability of company vehicles or any occasional loan vehicles.\
  • Follow safe working practices and adhere to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental guidelines (ISO 9001).\
  • Contribute proactively to the company's policy of continuous improvement.\
  • Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.\
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.\
  • Any Plant/Mechanical Engineering qualifications.\
  • Forklift Truck Licence (desired but full training can be provided).\

Requirements and Qualifications

\

The ideal candidate should have experience with generators/plant equipment/heavy engineering (or similar) and hold relevant certifications such as Plant/Mechanical Engineering qualifications. A Forklift Truck Licence is also desirable.

Salary Information

\

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
