Job Title: Maintenance Engineer with Electrical Specialization

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team at our Clevedon facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairing and improving on a wide range of production equipment, including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines.

The ideal candidate will have excellent electrical knowledge and experience in a CNC manufacturing environment. They will also possess a range of industry recognized qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ's, BTEC, HNC, HND etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventative maintenance in accordance with schedules
  • Resolve breakdowns
  • Fault find to the cause of failures
  • Source and purchase spares
  • Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks
  • Test and inspect electrical installations
  • Communicate with operators, managers, engineers and contractors
  • Be active in supporting, creating and implementing new ways of working and good working practices
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture
  • Support supplier and subcontractor development where applicable
Requirements
  • Apprentices trained and hold a range of industry recognized qualifications
  • Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
  • Understand good maintenance and engineering practices
  • Able to use own initiative and work autonomously when required
  • Flexible to work overtime and support a small team

  • Excellent electrical knowledge
  • Excellent mechatronics knowledge
  • Good understanding of preventative maintenance principles and methodologies
