This role is centered around ensuring crew holds necessary qualifications and experience for optimal performance.

  • We are seeking an experienced Marine Personnel Specialist to join our team near Glasgow.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ISM, STCW, MLC, and TMSA requirements.
  • A background in scheduling experience in the marine industry or another sector is essential.
  • Responsibilities include liaising with crew management, operations, and recruitment for seafarer rotations and manning levels within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ships have necessary vessel experience and OCIMF compliance.
  • Compliance with training matrices and procedures for all seafarers.
  • Communication with external partners, including manning agencies, for effective onboarding and offboarding.
  • Support Marine Personnel Lead and Head of Marine Personnel Operations with onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Disciplinary matters support and deputise for Marine Personnel Lead as required.
  • Coordinate global travel for shipboard teams, ensuring cost-effectiveness within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of STCW convention, including certification requirements by rank.
