University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Medical Intensivist to join our Critical Care team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their clinical and leadership skills in a busy tertiary referral ICU environment.

Main Responsibilities

The role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. Key responsibilities include assessing, resuscitating, and stabilising acutely sick patients, managing junior colleagues when working out of hours, and participating as a key member of the cardiac arrest team.

The post-holder will also be expected to develop projects and skills in areas such as Critical Care Echocardiography, ECMO, and Severe Acute Respiratory Failure, Simulation Facilitation and Education, Clinical Research, Quality Improvement, and Leadership & Management.

Requirements
  • Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a License to Practice
  • Completed Stage 2 training in ICM or equivalent
  • Advanced Life Support provider
  • Possession of CCT in ICM or equivalent
  • FFICM/FRCA/MRCP/MRCS or equivalent
