Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and agree syndicate-led direct and reinsurance contract wordings and associated clauses.
  • Liaise regularly with Underwriters, Clients, and Brokers.
  • Maintain accurate records of negotiations and final agreed wordings or clauses.
  • Review current market form usage and territorial regulations.
  • Conduct regular peer review of wordings agreements.
  • Assess financial impact of unsuitable contract wordings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of standard and bespoke wordings, clauses, and endorsements.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Requirements:

  • Microsoft Systems: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Data Entry: Accurate keyboard and data input skills
  • In-house Systems: Skyline, Cascade, Document Repository System
