Senior Field Support Specialist

A career-defining opportunity has arisen at Professional Technical Ltd, a leading manufacturing company in the UK. As a Technical Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the Field Service Engineers and sub-contractors.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for providing telephone technical support to customers, preparing quotations for service work, and developing relationships within key accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide accurate details to customer base and Field Service teams;
  • To submit quotations on time to customers;
  • To have thorough knowledge of operations and procedures for entering quotes, new jobs and orders onto Service Management System;
  • To supply business KPIs;
  • To give first-class customer service according to client standards;
  • To ensure efficient processing of customer enquiries and orders;
  • To interface with the external Sales team for Projects;
  • To ensure telephones are covered throughout the working day;
  • To acquire new customers from both service and sales databases;
  • To be self-motivated and work independently.

Requirements:

  • Technical Service Engineering or Technical Sales background is required;
  • Applicants should have worked with a product range for an engineering or manufacturing company;
  • Confident communication skills, with experience working with Field Service Engineers, Sales Teams, and customers;
  • Experience working with National Accounts, Key Accounts, or Project Management capabilities is desirable;
  • Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel.
