At Meatex Trading Ltd, we are currently experiencing a period of significant growth and have an exceptional opportunity for a Quality Assurance Specialist to contribute to our team.

We are a well-established business with over 100 years of expertise in supplying high-quality meat products to the UK retail sector, foodservice, and export markets. Our company was founded in 1920 and is now run by the 4th generation of the Galloway family, with strategically located sites throughout the UK that enable us to achieve our mission of producing innovative, high-quality food products.

As Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing our Food Safety plan in line with Quality policies and procedures. Ensuring all quality documentation is completed satisfactorily, including AutoCoding while adhering to company operating requirements, particularly in respect of quality, health, safety & ethics, traceability, product integrity, labelling, and company personal & food hygiene rules.

  • Evaluate and implement food safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling, and allergen handling processes.
  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints.
  • Ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation, and safe operating procedures.
  • Possess strong spoken and written English language skills (this is an essential health & safety, traceability, and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process).
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a keen willingness to learn.
  • Hold accreditation in Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2; willing to obtain level 3.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a keen willingness to support others' development.

The estimated salary range for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
