Job Description:

The NHS is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join their dynamic CAMHS team in a community-based role. As a key member of the Targeted CAMHS Citywide team, you will deliver high-quality, brief outcome-focused therapeutic interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

This rewarding position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with social care, health, and education agencies to provide accessible therapeutic support for vulnerable children and families. You will be responsible for consultation, assessment, and evidence-based interventions, including risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues from partner agencies, local community groups, and other City Council Departments to develop effective working relationships and ensure clear communication between services. A willingness to participate in individual supervision, training, and developmental opportunities is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant professional qualification in mental health nursing, psychotherapy, counselling, or a related field. Direct experience as a practitioner in a mental health setting with children is required, along with knowledge of therapeutic interventions and risk management. A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is also necessary.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
