Job Title: Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic secondary special school in Swindon. The school caters to students with SEMH and ASD, and we are looking for someone who can provide general classroom support and specific 1-1 work.

About the Role
  • Provide general classroom support and specific 1-1 work to students with SEMH and ASD
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with challenging behavior, using proactive and confident strategies to de-escalate situations
  • Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package for students
