About the Role:

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support our partnership schools in Newhaven. This long-term role involves working with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, supporting students with specific learning needs, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Classroom Teachers: Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective lesson plans, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, including those with SEN, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a well-organized and respectful classroom environment, promoting a positive attitude towards learning among students.
  • Resource Preparation: Help prepare and organize learning materials, resources, and equipment to support teaching and learning activities.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Develop strong relationships with teachers, students, and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting, is essential for this role.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments and with various age groups.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently, as required.
  • Patience and Support: Display a patient, caring, and supportive attitude towards working with children, particularly those with special needs.
