About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bioinformatics Leader to join our Product Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading teams involved in assay design and development, as well as validation of molecular diagnostic assays.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and experience in developing, verifying, and validating molecular diagnostic assays.

You will work closely with project managers to ensure that team activities are planned and executed effectively. You will also contribute to the overall strategy of the Product Development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams involved in assay design and development
  • Work with project managers to plan and execute team activities
  • Ensure that projects are successful
  • Motivate and support team members
  • Contribute to the overall strategy of the Product Development team

Requirements:

  • Degree or further degree in a life science such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics
  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous supervisory or line management experience
  • Expertise in NGS technologies
  • Experience in developing, verifying, and validating molecular diagnostic assays

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum
