We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Quarry Operations team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering functions across four quarry sites and three engineering workshops.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety of staff, contractors, and visitors to site, minimizing the effect of the engineering function on the environment.
- Engineering Projects: Plan and execute engineering projects from start to finish, in line with the annual budget.
- Team Management: Manage engineering staff and contractors, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Plant Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all types of quarrying plant, including electrical installations, fabrication, and welding works.
- Workshop Management: Manage the operation of three engineering workshops, including storekeeping and inventory management.
- Experience: At least five years of management experience in the Quarry or similar industrial facility.
- Qualifications: A QCF 6/NVQ4 in Extractives Management or be willing to study for it.
- Skills: Experience in the maintenance and repair of all types of quarrying plant, and a qualified electrician or extensive electrical knowledge.
