Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commissions of varying sizes, including coaching junior staff and allocating roles and responsibilities.
  • Advising clients on feasibility studies, procurement options, and cost planning stages.
  • Managing estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting the final cost plan to the client.
  • Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Conducting contract administration, including dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and negotiating final accounts.
  • Interfacing with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Collaborating with our project management team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all accountabilities.
Requirements
  • Chartered Status in a relevant field, such as quantity surveying or cost engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering cost management services in the healthcare or life sciences sector.
  • Full membership or working towards RICS, ACostE, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Practical knowledge of NEC forms of contract is beneficial.
