Senior Autism Specialist

About the Role
As an integral part of our team, you will provide clinical and administrative support to process referrals, compile risk summaries, conduct audits, service evaluations, and provide a range of direct assessments and psychological interventions under the supervision of an experienced Registered Psychologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment, formulation, and delivery of appropriate autism-adapted clinical interventions for referred autistic adults in Kent.
- Undertake diagnostic assessments for clients using evidence-based gold standard tools such as ADOS-4 and the ADI-R.
- Complete relevant training to develop skills and competencies that assist in the delivery of current duties.
- Contribute to the training and support of other staff and volunteers in the service.
- Receive regular supervision from a Registered Psychologist.
- Assist in the design and implementation of service development projects within the service as required.
- Assist in the design and implementation of audit and research projects.
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice of the British Psychological Society and Trust policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and through written material to clients and staff.
- Perform other duties of a similar kind appropriate to the grade, which may be required from time to time by the Line Manager.
Requirements
- A first-class or Upper-second class degree with Honours in Psychology that is accredited by the British Psychological Society and confers the Graduate Basis for Registration of the British Psychological Society.
- Relevant work experience with neurodivergent people with or without mental health conditions.
- An interest in working with neurodivergent people.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A desire to explore a career in professional psychology.
