Embedded Software Engineer

EMBS Technology is seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Derbyshire. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Cyber Security products and systems, contributing to their development and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement embedded C/C++ solutions with a strong track record.
  • Design and develop multi-threaded embedded systems (RTOS) with deep experience.
  • Work with ARM-based microcontrollers (e.g. STM-32) at the register level.
  • Apply embedded debugging techniques (e.g. JTAG, ETM) to ensure efficient testing.
  • Write code to specific standards (e.g. CERT C, MISRA) and apply software unit test automation and tools (e.g. LDRA, Parasoft etc).
  • Familiarity with static analysis tools and technical report writing.
Desirable Skills:
  • C# development experience and proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Computer network security and vulnerability analysis, as well as conversance with IP standards.
  • Experience in a range of CPU/MPU's with practical experience and requirements capture.
  • Appreciation of cryptographic algorithms and the ability to secure and maintain an unconditional DV security clearance.

The successful candidate must be a British citizen, and the position offers an attractive salary ranging from £55K to £75K, depending on experience, plus additional benefits.
