Consultant General Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Physician to join our dynamic team at the NHS, delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our General Medicine service. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work in a collaborative environment, leading a team of junior doctors and developing your specialist interest.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients presenting to Withybush General Hospital with medical problems.
  • Lead a team of junior doctors and contribute to the development of our General Medicine service.
  • Participate in clinical audit and provide evidence-based medicine.
  • Support the development of sub-specialty services and promote best practices within the NHS.
  • Contribute to the on-call rota at Withybush General Hospital, residing within 30 minutes of the hospital for on-call purposes.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practise.
  • On Specialist Register/SpR due to obtain relevant CCT/CESR(CP) within 6 months of interview.
  • MRCP.
  • Valid certified advanced life support skills.
  • Appropriate Higher Degree e.g. MD, PhD or MSc or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
  • Broad-based experience in Acute General Medicine.
  • Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and participation in CPD.
  • Expertise in Acute General Medicine.
  • Able to apply knowledge.
  • Safe and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of communicating bad news.
  • Meet the requirement of the GMC's "Good Medical Practice".
  • Experience of NHS.
  • Wider experience, research and training in providing sub-specialty service.
  • Evidence of above-average performance.
What We Offer

Depending on experience, this role offers a competitive salary of £100,000 - £146,000 per annum, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the NHS.
