Applications are invited for the post of Climax Research Professor of Regulatory Science at the University of Oxford. This is a unique opportunity to lead an international and multi-jurisdictional regulatory science activity, undertaking original work independently and in collaboration with others.
About the RoleAs a Climax Research Professor of Regulatory Science, you will be responsible for driving the development of regulatory frameworks and pathways for the benefit of patients. You will work to secure research grants and funding, as well as share research findings by means of high-profile publications, conferences, and seminars.
Key Responsibilities- Lead an international and multi-jurisdictional regulatory science activity
- Undertake original work independently and in collaboration with others
- Interact and influence the global regulatory community
- Secure research grants and funding
- Share research findings through publications, conferences, and seminars
The ideal candidate will be an internationally recognised authority in regulatory science, with practical experience in the regulation of medical and healthcare products. You will be qualified in a relevant legal, scientific, or biomedical discipline, with substantial legal/regulatory practice experience.
You will be able to demonstrate evidence of distinction in thought leadership in regulatory science, with effective communication of those ideas. A track record of effective engagement with regulatory agencies, promoting innovation in regulatory pathways, commitment to the development of the field through education, and proven ability to develop productive interactions and relationships with other professionals, industry, and charities at national and international levels are essential.
This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 5 years, extendable for a further 5 years.
