About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Health and Justice Practitioner to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health and Justice Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing health and social care services to individuals within the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide health and social care services to individuals within the criminal justice system, including those in police custody suites and prisons.
• Conduct health and social care assessments to identify the needs of individuals and provide appropriate interventions and support.
• Work closely with other agencies, including the police, courts, and social services, to ensure that individuals receive the support they need.
• Provide advice and information to individuals, carers, and professionals about health and social care services and how to access them.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with individuals, carers, and professionals to ensure that health and social care services are delivered in a person-centred way.
Requirements
• A professional recognised qualification such as RMN, RGN, Learning Disability Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, AHP.
• Knowledge of mental health issues and/or learning disability, the Criminal Justice System, and relevant health and social care interventions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
