Job Overview

Vistry Group PLC is seeking a skilled Payment Clerk to join our team in Coleshill, West Midlands. As a Payment Clerk, you will be responsible for processing and maintaining accounts payable records, providing financial administrative support to our regional commercial and wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain accurate accounts payable records, ensuring timely and quality financial information is provided.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoicing queries in a professional manner, on a timely basis, and to comply with statutory requirements.
  • Review and clear invoices on hold in a timely manner.
  • Perform supplier reconciliations and statements on a monthly basis.
  • Handle all post and emails related to invoices and associated duties.
  • Process and check supplier and department payments.
  • Handle filing and archiving on a periodic basis.
  • Support the commercial team as required with ad-hoc tasks.

Requirements

  • IT literate, including MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to resolve and reconcile issues with limited supervision.
  • Interpersonal skills and attitude.
  • Time management and organisational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team.

Desirable Skills

  • COINS finance system experience.
  • High volume processing environment with good knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable function.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Construction or housebuilding industry experience.
