Design and Build Specialist for Airport Expansion

Protecnium is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead the development of airport infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The estimated salary for this position is £85,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee detailed designs for building and civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to establish design parameters, timelines, and construction methodologies.
  • Perform structural calculations, materials selection, and feasibility studies to support efficient and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Review and modify design documents based on field observations and construction progress, providing technical support to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Manage design revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with subcontractors and construction teams.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications, and communicate project updates and design changes to stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability standards in all phases of design and construction.
  • Utilize advanced design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D, for drafting, modeling, and optimizing design plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building and heavy civil construction projects.
  • Experience designing and supervising on-site project designs.
  • Proficiency in English at a C1 level.
  • Legal authorisation to work in the UK.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
