Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Delivery Driver to join our team at VPG. As a Courier Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for collecting samples from clients and returning them to our laboratory for diagnosis within agreed turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive in a safe manner to maintain the reputability of VPG.
  • Keep to collection times agreed between clients and the laboratory.
  • Ensure all bags are sealed and accurately complete log sheets where required.
  • Count and sort deliveries, maintaining samples at the appropriate temperature during transit and when returned to the laboratory.
  • Inspect vehicle daily and report any defects on the log sheet.
  • Keep vehicle clean and tidy, reporting any defects to the Courier Manager.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Driving License.
  • Previous experience of commercial driving.
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Good literacy ability.
  • Ability to share and exchange information with others.
  • Ability to show initiative and work independently without supervision.
  • UK Right to Work.

Working Environment: Our working environment is safe for all, and it is every VPG employee's duty to report all incidents and adverse events to managers and assist in the investigations of any incidents.

Benefits: Company van provided, and the driving route requires handover of samples at a location in Banbury before returning to the Luton/Hitchin laboratory.
