Job Role: Principal Civil Engineer - Wastewater projects
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 + package depending on level of experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's Capital and Commercial Services team as a Principal Engineer in the Wastewater Team. They are investing heavily in waste treatment over the next five years, making a significant impact on the environment and surrounding communities.
About the role:
- To provide technical leadership and expertise on all aspects of optioneering and design for wastewater treatment projects, driving innovative and efficient solutions.
- To support the Waste Treatment Core Design Team and contribute to the development of the technical capability of team members through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- To oversee the creation of designs and specifications for wastewater treatment projects, ensuring consideration of health & safety, commissioning, and other key factors.
- To identify and review deviations from our client's standards and collaborate with the Project Management Team to address these deviations.
- To communicate lessons learned from the project to the wider business and contribute to the development of younger and less experienced engineers working on the programme of work.
- To establish a network of internal and external stakeholders to capture learnings, understand innovation, and best practice, and incorporate these into the plans for Capital Design technical standards.
About you:
- UK experience with the design of clean and wastewater projects.
- Ideally be chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution.
- A passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire, and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions.
