As a Class 1 HGV Shunter, you will be responsible for operating vehicles in a safe and efficient manner within the premises, manoeuvring them into loading and unloading bays according to schedules, and performing pre-operational checks to ensure they are in good working condition.

You will also be required to communicate effectively with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate the movement of goods, adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies, and complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.

To be successful in this role, you should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, have at least 6 months of experience, and no more than 6 points on your licence with no DD/DR code convictions.

Good communication and teamwork skills, flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, and the ability to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety are also essential.
