Join Our Ambitious Planning Service Transformation Programme

We're seeking experienced planners to join our team in crafting the policy framework that guides planning applications and ensures Wiltshire's Local Plan meets our infrastructure, housing, and community needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver up-to-date planning frameworks for Wiltshire
  • Lead teams to deliver complex projects involved with reviewing the Local Plan or key topics such as employment, housing, and renewable energy
  • Engage communities and stakeholders to support appropriate and sustainable development in Wiltshire
  • Prepare and deliver reports with recommendations for project leads/teams to use when developing policies
Requirements:
  • Planning-related degree and higher qualification accredited by the RTPI
  • Post-qualification experience working on significant strategic planning policy matters and preparation of local plans
  • Experience in appearing as an expert witness at planning appeals or examination in public
