Support Role

We are seeking a supportive and flexible Support Teacher Assistant to join our team as an Ad Hoc Cover Supervisor at an Outstanding Secondary School in Merton, Inner London. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity in the classroom by delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their work.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of classroom dynamics, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, setting homework, and marking student work, while also maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting teachers and other staff members as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher or experienced education professional looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a top-tier school. You will have the flexibility to work on a day-to-day basis, fitting around your schedule, and will be part of a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to students
  • Manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Set and mark homework, and provide feedback to students
  • Provide support to teachers and other staff members as needed

Salary: £25-£30 per hour (dependent on experience)
