PR Specialist, EU Customer Trust, Selling Partner Services

About the Role

Amazon is seeking a skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our EU Customer Trust team. As a key member of the Selling Partner Services (SPS) Communications team, you will lead communications and PR support throughout the EU for customer trust-related topics. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop and execute proactive storytelling and support reactive inquiry and issues management in support of customer trust narratives.

The ideal candidate will have strong PR experience, a track record of successfully managing proactive announcements with coverage results, media relations expertise in both pitching proactive stories and managing issues and reactive storylines, and a strong ability to collaborate across numerous counterparts and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute PR strategies and plans for customer trust topics and announcements throughout the EU
• Provide counsel to executives and cross-functional teams on PR strategies, approaches, and messaging
• Support the management of reactive customer trust-related issues in collaboration with counterparts, including advising on key messaging
• Write and evolve messaging and talking points for press interviews, press inquiries, FAQs, and the overall customer trust narrative
• Build, guide, and execute PR plans, including communicating plans internally and securing leadership approvals
• Drive and/or review owned content such as blogs and social media posts
• Develop and manage relationships with a range of top-tier media contacts
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges, both proactively and reactively
• Help manage a third-party agency to support PR activities
• Willingness to represent Amazon as a spokesperson

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Several years of public relations experience
