About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join our team in Taunton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of powered access equipment across various customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in plant maintenance, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics/fault finding. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of customer service, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine service and maintenance on all equipment and products.
  • Fault-find, repair, and maintain powered access equipment within the depot and on customers' sites.
  • Complete all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
  • Refurbish equipment and products as necessary.
  • Promote teamwork between colleagues across depots to ensure effective workshop performance.
  • Liaise with team members to estimate and advise on equipment repair costs, providing recommendations regarding write-off, damage, and recharge to customers.
  • Maintain a fully equipped van with spare parts at all times.
  • Ensure service records are up-to-date and daily worksheets are populated.
  • Adhere to company guidelines on Health & Safety at Work and the damage process.
  • Maintain maximum productivity in line with company targets.
  • Represent the company and its values, portraying a professional image to customers, potential customers, and other people encountered during work.
About You

We are looking for someone with relevant general maintenance qualifications and proven experience within the plant rental sector. A strong background in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics/fault finding is essential.

A competitive salary of £45,000 per annum is offered, along with a range of benefits including van, fuel card, on-call allowance, 25 days holiday, bank holidays, life assurance, health insurance, and auto-enrolment pension.
