About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Pink Tile Education Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students in our SEMH setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Implementation: Assist teachers in planning and delivering high-quality lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Classroom Environment: Contribute to creating a safe and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive learning outcomes.
  • SEND Support: Support students with special educational needs and behavioural challenges, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Classroom Management: Assist with classroom management, including supervising students during break times and school activities.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare learning materials and resources to support teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with SEND/SEMH/behaviour is highly desirable.
  • Passion for Education: A passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school and its students.
  • Patience and Empathy: Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to supporting students with complex needs.
  • DBS Check: A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
