About the Role

Hiscox is seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Architect to lead the adoption of Microsoft Power Platform technology stack and Dynamics 365 CRM. As a key member of the UK IT Team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to implement tailored solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the strategy and plan for the set up and use of Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 in line with Hiscox's business and technical roadmaps.
  • Engage with Business Operations and Claims teams to implement customer and broker engagement solutions, simplifying user journeys and introducing automated solutions where possible.
  • Work closely with Business Operations teams to set up simple 'self-service' apps that are efficient, secure, and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leads to define and develop more complex.Net applications.
  • Onboard and line manage a small team of engineers and oversee additional 3rd party resources as needed.
  • Define standards and processes to be adhered to by Hiscox and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Monitor best practices and adherence to the above, taking appropriate measures to remediate any deviations.
  • Design, create, deliver, maintain, and support the components of the core cloud and DevOps platform, ensuring they remain securely configured, access control models are enforced, and technical standards are kept up to date.
  • Continually question and optimize governance processes to ensure deployed services meet quality and security benchmarks.
  • Ensure the UK business unit's adoption of Dynamics and Power Platform remains up to date and 'in-support' by defining and executing mid/long-term upgrade plans as needed.
  • Contribute to the wider Hiscox IT community by offering direction and expertise.
  • Drive decision-making across different teams and disciplines, seeking informed decisions that lead to value-add, quality, and appropriate outcomes.
  • Liaise closely with and provide technical assistance to the SRE/Application Support teams, including well-documented handover and knowledge transfer.
  • Act as an SME within the wider IT team, advising on strategy and defining the right approach for a range of projects.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • Deep expertise in the capabilities, strategic use, and roll-out of Microsoft Power Platform, Data Platform, D365, and the infrastructure to support it.
  • Experience customizing D365 to maximize user efficiency and drive user adoption.
  • Lower-level expertise in the definition, design, and development of PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate, and Power Pages.
  • Expertise in Assistive Technology (AI co-pilots, etc.).
  • Ability to coach and influence engineers.
  • Ability to monitor market trends and best practices relating to Power Platform, AI, and cloud services.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to fast-changing landscapes.
  • Certification at Expert level (e.g., Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect) is an advantage.
  • Experience in development using.Net is an advantage.
