Job Title: AAT/ACCA Trainee Management Accountant

Location: Cookstown, United Kingdom

About the Role

The primary objective of this position is to provide critical support to both operations and senior management by ensuring the organization has timely and accurate financial information to make informed decisions. By delivering precise financial and production data, this role directly contributes to the strategic objectives of the business, enabling continuous improvements across various departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and review yield and labour reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify issues and areas for improvement.
  • Challenge labour reporting movements with the operations team, analyzing changes in efficiencies and overtime to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain Challenge 10 and R&D trackers on a weekly basis, attending weekly meetings with operations to ensure continued focus and follow-up on proposals discussed.
  • Review AFE forms with the operations and project management teams to ensure information is complete and meets the required standard for sign-off prior to site head of finance review.
  • Support the finance team with other tasks to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly operations CI pack and finance check-in pack.
Requirements
  • Management accounts experience in the meat industry or other FMCG area.
  • A recognized professional accounting qualification, preferably CIMA, or in the final stages of achieving the qualification.
  • A thorough understanding of factory processes.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective presentation and report writing skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills.
