Job Title: Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Immunisation Service, ensuring it is effective, efficient, and safe.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the improvement of staff capability and practice within the Immunisation Service.
  • Ensure best practice is integrated into Immunisation service delivery models.
  • Deliver annual immunisation updates to Practice Nurse immunisers according to the RCN/PHE National Immunisation Training Standard Guidelines.
  • Deliver immunisation updates to HCT CSAIS, as required.
  • Ensure the National Immunisation Service is accessible to the eligible cohort.
  • Implement prudent financial decisions, including being an authorised signatory.

Person Specification:
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • BSc Community Specialist Practice (School Nursing, Practice Nursing, Health Visiting or other relevant specialist qualification) or relevant experience
Experience:
  • Experience and strong immunisation knowledge
  • Clinical Audit
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Strong Management Skills
  • Strong Supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of current commissioning architecture
  • Up-to-date relevant clinical practice
  • Health needs analysis
