Electrical Build Technician Opportunity

Our client, a pioneering developer of bespoke electric vehicle drivetrain systems, is seeking an experienced Electrical Build Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building electrical harnesses and components for bespoke vehicles and "kit" builds.

The Electrical Build Technician will:

  • Assemble and build 12V wiring looms and harnesses with high precision, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Construct high-voltage (HV) looms to meet project specifications, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Perform quality inspections on both in-house and bought-in looms to guarantee compliance with company standards.
  • Document all build processes and maintain accurate records for future reference, facilitating efficient project management.
  • Assemble various electrical components as required for production or development projects, demonstrating expertise in wiring ancillary items such as fuse boxes, controllers, and similar components.

The Electrical Build Technician will possess:

  • Proven experience in wiring harness and loom assembly, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience in wiring ancillary items, including fuse boxes, controllers, and similar components, ensuring a high level of proficiency.
  • Strong ability to specify loom lengths, routing, and retention methods for optimal performance, demonstrating a deep understanding of electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and pinout tables, ensuring accurate and efficient work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all aspects of work.
