About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Sitka Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and guidance to managers across the organization on a range of HR issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional advisory service to managers on HR policies, procedures, and practices, including recruitment and selection, change management, absence and performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, equality and diversity, bullying and harassment, and health and well-being.
  • Support managers in the development, implementation, and review of departmental HR plans to ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Coach and advise managers at all levels on implementing effective performance management practices and raising standards in line with organizational performance management processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in HR practice and case-law, undertaking research and benchmarking studies as required, and updating or developing HR policies where relevant.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training to managers on HR procedures and practices.
  • Support the implementation of health and well-being initiatives and other departmental priorities, taking the lead and project managing as delegated.
  • Monitor the implementation of HR procedures across all designated areas, using HR reports, and implementing effective strategies to support managers in delivering consistency in their practice.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a HR generalist role, with confidence in supporting managers across a diverse range of services.
  • Registration with CIPD is desirable.
  • Computer literacy and demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office software and online HR systems.
  • Ability to build positive and strong working relationships, rapport with stakeholders of all levels (director/employee).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

What We Offer

  • Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 DOE.
  • Flexible working week.

  • 33 days holiday + 8 Bank holidays (inclusive of 2 week Christmas closedown).
  • 1 day WHF (possibly 2 if needed).
