Key Responsibilities- Conduct Mental Health Act assessments and statutory functions, ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks.
- Assess and identify the needs of individuals, ensuring their quality of life and independence are enhanced.
- Collaborate with internal and external professionals to provide a coordinated response to service users and carers.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to less experienced staff, including students and colleagues.
- Manage complex caseloads, establishing, monitoring, and reviewing care plans with service users, carers, and service providers.
- Contribute to team budgets, prioritizing quality and value.
- Ensure welfare benefit entitlements are identified and met within legislative requirements.
- Participate in civil emergencies, supporting colleagues and assessing/managing risk.
- Undertake safeguarding investigations, adhering to Council policies and procedures.
- Familiarize, uphold, and promote the aims of the Council's Equality and Diversity policies.
- A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
