As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and conducting thorough inspections and testing of electrical appliances to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. You will also identify and rectify potential electrical hazards, promoting a safe working environment.

  • Job Description:
  • Conduct and supervise others in electrical testing company equipment, including PAT testing and appliance inspection.
  • Perform visual inspections and electrical tests on a variety of electrical appliances, including identification of defects or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations, including the PAT Code of Practice.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical appliances, or recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest safety standards and regulations related to electrical appliances.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, including test reports for distribution to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards.
  • Competent IT Skills, including database management.
  • Familiarity with a variety of electrical appliances and their testing requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to provide explanations and guidance on testing results.
